You can remove light stains with by spraying a mixture made of equal parts of vinegar and water. Once you spray it, allow it to sit for about 10 minutes. After it has partially dried, use a nylon brush to remove the stain. Wipe the area after you have brushed it with a nylon brush.

Heavy Stains

It will take more effort to remove heavy stains. You will need to use a mixture made out of equal parts of vinegar, salt and borax. Mix these ingredients together to form a paste. Apply them to the stained area and allow them to set for about two hours. Remove the paste by using a vacuum cleaner.

Fresh Stains

One of the best carpet cleaning tips to keep in mind is to remove fresh stains as soon as possible. It is a lot easier to remove fresh stains. Apply a small amount of club soda to the area. Allow the club soda to set for a little while and then wipe it up.

Urine Stains

There are a few steps that you will need to take to remove urine stains from the area. Absorb the excess urine using a towel. You will need then to mix up one cup of vinegar with 1.5 cups of warm water. Dip the mixture in a sponge and then apply it directly to the area. Use a cloth to remove the excess moisture. 

After that, you will need to sprinkle the area with baking soda. Let it set for about 20 minutes. Repeat this process until the stain is removed.

Grease Stains

You will need to take a different approach to remove grease stains. You will need to use an absorbent towel to soak up most of the grease. Apply some cornstarch to the area. Allow it to set for a day. After that, you will need to vacuum up the area.
